Tips For Selecting The Right Pink Diamond Engagement Ring

If you want a modern twist on a classic choose a pink diamond engagement ring. Ever since the’50s presenting a bride with a diamond ring has become a tradition for men. The groom shows the woman how he will care for her by spending a large portion of his salary on her ring.

Since colored stones are very rare and beautiful over the past few years it has become common to use them in engagement rings.

There are four C’s of color diamonds that you must know prior to the purchase of a pink engagement ring. These four C’s have just a hint of difference in meaning from the rules for white diamonds. The 4 C’s for determining the right diamond are: Color of the stone; Carat, or size of the stone; Cut, the shape of the stone; and Clarity, the quality of the stone. The price of an engagement ring will be established by these four C’s.

Color is fundamental when choosing a colored diamond. Stones vary and some are clear with just very slight coloration. Oftentimes the color in the smaller or more petite stones, can be so faint that it is only visible in specific lighting or at specific angles. Consistency of color is essential when purchasing a colored diamond. The stone should contain the same amount of color all over the stone.

Carat: This is the size of the stone, and it greatly affects the cost. Unlike traditional diamonds, a color of a colored diamond is more important than the size. A clear stone that is huge will cost less than a very small diamond that has lots of color. You should choose a setting that shows off bright colors and a smaller stone if you want a stone that is extremely colorful.

Cut: The brightness of the stone is affected by the cut. The cut is very important in pink diamond engagement rings. Round, Marquise, and Princess cuts are the best at showing off color and are therefore the most popular cuts. You should probably get a colorless stone if you want a different cut.

Clarity — The clarity of every diamond is a major factor in determining its quality. A clear stone is one that has absolutely no cracks, dark spots, or cloudiness. Clarity becomes an even more important element of quality colored stones, because any amount of cloudiness in a colored diamond can hide the stone’s dazzling color.
